Persistent practice arenas. Join a team-based space or queue up solo, track ELO over time.
Scrim spaces are persistent practice arenas where Deadlock players and teams can compete outside of ranked matchmaking. Each space tracks ELO over time, so your improvement shows across every session. Spaces come in three modes: team-based leagues where organized teams fight for standings, player-based pickup queues where solo players get matched by skill, and hybrid spaces that support both.
Each space uses a standard ELO rating system starting at 1,000. Wins push your rating up, losses bring it down. The size of the ELO swing depends on the difference between the two sides' ratings and a K-factor that shrinks as you play more games. New players have a K-factor of 32, intermediate players 24, and established players 16. Your ELO can never drop below 100.
Spaces support four competitive formats: 1v1 for solo dueling practice, 2v2 for small team drills, 4v4 for mid-scale teamfight coordination, and 6v6 for full competitive matches that mirror ranked play. Most organized Deadlock tournaments and scrims use 6v6. Sessions can be scheduled as Best-of-1, Best-of-3, Best-of-5 or Best-of-7 series.
Other ways to play outside of pubs: tournament brackets, ongoing scrim spaces, the competitions hub, full hero tier list and the live leaderboard.
