Gun Paige:
The role of a gun Paige is to be a backline DPS with three specific support tools: a team barrier, an immobilize skill, and a heal/stun wave. This puts her more in line with a Carbine Paradox, Vindicta, or Grey Talon in that she is a glass cannon aiming to take advantage of teamfights in the early/midgame, but has the damage to open up the match during the lategame. Gun Paige has several different match openers, mainly based on whether you want a strong initial burst window or better sustained damage. ==================================================================================================================== Sharp Opener is the common opener. Sharpshooter is just really strong, and has a lot of stats loaded into a 3200. While getting Sharpshooter initially after Egg is technically stronger, having an earlier Express Shot with Long Range gives you a very strong early game with good sustain and burst damage. Fortitude gives you more map presence and lets you take Sinners without having to immediately return to base. Combining it with Enduring Speed and Fleetfoot then give you the powers of speed, use it to play your backline and rotate. The midgame is just the road to Lucky Shot, before it, you are still doing huge damage, but as soon as you get it, then you have the ability to "crit". From there on, the build splits into focusing on more damage, survivability, or utility with a counter like Silencer or Toxic Bullets. ==================================================================================================================== Lucky Opener is a legacy/optional opener. When you get the choice between Express Shot or Sharpshooter, the difference in damage is 92x2 Express Shot if you hit both shots and 43 normal vs Sharpshooter having 65 per shot at range and 44 when out of range. Previously there was a non-Egg opener to rush Lucky, but it's not practical in the current meta. Buy Egg in this opener and eat AFTER you have enough money to buy Lucky to jumpstart your midgame. After you have Fleetfoot, the rest of the build is entirely up to personal preference and your matchup. This build is a lot more free than the Sharpshooter opener, and you can build around your counters more, but in exchange, you have a worse performance in early/midgame.
