Optional[Veil Walker] and the Good Lane box are elo checks. First if your team is good enough to let you play your role they are better, but if you need to pick up after others they are worse. Second if you aren't using these items properly you are taking opportunity cost and low key throwing. Third if the enemy can't figure out not to get jumped you can snowball really hard.
