The Holliday Guide
Holliday is a catcher, which means that our main goal is to find single people who have decided to push our towers or farm our forest, give a call to our team, and go kill a character with our ultimate, either by pushing them under the tower or under the crowd of our teammates0 items
Guide to Holliday (laning)
On the laning, first we take Extra Charge, Headshot Booster and Extra Spirit to deal damage with barrels. Since we only have 2 stamina, and we need to move a lot, we buy Extra Stamina; if we take too much damage, we take Grit. Then, when we get our ultimate, we must use it immediately, and then buy a Compress Cooldown for it so that we can use it more often; at this point, the spirit investment is filled. Then, for further investment, we’ll get the Rapid Recharge and Mystic Burst, which will significantly improve our damage, gives our powerspike. At this point, we can gank another lane or push our own lane. In the end we’re buying Recharging Rush for more barrels and bounce pads0 items
Guide to Holliday (mid-game)
Around the 9‑minute mark, we take the Rapid Recharge and upgrade the barrels to the maximum level; the laning phase will last a couple more minutes, or maybe already finished. We’re getting ready to run around the map, kill enemies one by one with the team, clear enemy camps and boxes, and push out lanes. Most often, we need to be present in teamfights to pull someone out or finish off fleeing enemies with barrels; however, if the fight is on the other side of the map and your lane has been pushed out, you can quickly push out the walker by throwing all 5 barrels. Since you have jump pads, boots, and stamina, most likely no one will catch up with you and kill you, unless you want to stay there until the end to completely break the walker. Gradually boost our damage by purchasing various items, the main ones being Spirit Burn and Escalating Exposure, which, when combined with Transcendent Cooldown after fully proc of Spirit Burn, increase our damage by 54%, which is very useful both in solo fights and in team fights0 items
Midboss
When our team breaks the mid, we don't stand in the pit, but a little further away from the rejuv, and prepare to throw a lasso at the opponent who wants to contest the mid. If our team tries to take the mid from the opponents, we either grab a hero with a lasso who can get immunity to stun, or jump into the rejuv and press 2 times parry, and then take at least 1 rejuvenator0 items
Guide to Holliday (late-game)
If we need extra durability or we see that the enemy carry is overfarmed, we can take the Juggernaut early. As we destroy enemy walkers, we buy different flexes to increase damage from barrels and a little survivability. At the end of the build, we sell the recharging rush and optional cheap items such as the trophy, and in ultra late we sell Headhunter and Superior Duration. To do a rift, it's sometimes better to use the lasso and step outside the urn's area so that you remain in it and the enemy in the lasso is considered to be outside the area. Transcendent Cooldown is purchased either at the end of the build or after purchasing Escalating Exposure, which, when combined with Spirit Burn, significantly boosts our damage. If you have a lot of money, you can purchase situational or test items of your choice0 items
Red Invest
At the very beginning, we take the Headshot Booster to deal extra damage, also we can buy monster rounds to kill creeps faster and speed up the lane progression. At the 8th minute, if you want, you can get the Cultist Sacrifice and go after the enemy T3 creep and the casino. During the game, we constantly pick off opponents one by one, steal runes, and take out Sinner’s Sacrifice. However, in regular games, we don’t take the Cultist Sacrifice, so for a gun investment, we buy a Recharging Rush and upgrade the Headshot Booster to a Headhunter, which covers the investment and close our need to buy gun items0 items
Green Invest
The Extra Stamina and an Extra Health alone provide a solid investment each. If you take Grit, it is possible to obtain a Reactive Barrier and a Trophy Collector, which give an excellent investment each after its purchase; then the Stamina Mastery + Enduring Speed + Fortitude also gives an investment, at the end when buying a Juggernaut, then grading an indomitable, purchasing another situational item, like Counterspell or Veil Walker with selling a Trophy collector. Also, don’t forget to skip the Mystic Slow, as you won’t have enough slots. If you didn’t take anything from the extra items, you can take a Counterspell or Veil Walker, a green investment is closed, then it will be done when buying a Stamina Mastery + a Sprint Boots, Enduring Speed + a Fortitude, and a Juggernaut. In ultra-late, if you see that the Counterspell still does not fully do what is needed to save you, you can sell it and buy a safe item for 6,400, even though you will not have a full investment. That is, if you decide to take a grit at the beginning, then we reach into the Reactive Barrier and take the Trophy Collector, skip the Mystic Slow, later we grade Reactive Barrier into Indomitable, preferably after buying the Juggernaut, sell the Trophy Collector and buy the Counterspell or the Veil Walker. If you didn’t take anything situational, you can get a Counterspell or a Veil Walker, and in the ultra-late you can sell it and buy an excellent safe item for 6,400, but without a full investment0 items
Purple Invest
First, we take the Extra Charge and Extra Spirit to throw barrels more often and deal more damage, the first 2 items for 800 souls always gives a full investment. Then we use the Compress Cooldown for an even bigger investment, buy Rapid Recharge + Mystic Burst for the next one, after which there will be a strong Power Spike. Then, the investment is given by Suppressor, followed by Durability Extender with an upgrade to its full version — Superior Duration, then 3 items for 4,800 souls, namely, Improved Spirit, Superior Cooldown, and Tankbuster. Then, Spirit Burn is purchased, which provides another investment, and our investment is completed with Escalating Exposure, which pairs perfectly with Spirit Burn. After that, we have nowhere left to improve our investment, so we’ll be getting the Boundless Spirit, Mystic Reverb, and Transcendent Cooldown0 items
