Apollo is a spirit burst hero that deals damage close range with built-in sustain. His kit is centered around movement, being able to get in and out of close range using his abilities. All of Apollo's healing comes from landing PERFECT Flawless Advance (3) on enemy heroes (NOT troopers or camps). Apollo is a very strong early. If he gets in range, he can win pretty much any 1v1 situation. Be AGGRESIVE in lane. Offense is the best defense for Apollo! Mid-late game, take advantage of your sustain to frontline for your team and tank.0 items

Ability order

Start with Disengaging Sigil (1) for poke and a free escape in lane. Save all upgrade points to max Flawless Advance (3) ASAP. Your (3) is your main source of damage AND sustain. After (3) max, Riposte (2) to tier 1 for the cdr. Next, Itani Lo Sahn (4) to tier 2 for cdr. I personally like to max (2) second and max (1) third but can change depending on the game. Max (4) last. ***More Riposte (2) changes. Increased stun duration on tier 2 = free heavy melee. Depending on game maybe rush (2) before investing in (4)...***0 items

Apollo's built in counterspell that is ALSO a built in knockdown. GOATED ability. Fantastic engage tool, can help you chase OR survive (especially burst damage). Use WISELY. Save your (2) to stop enemy ults. Good ults to riposte to STUN during fight: Lash, Haze, Seven, McGinnis, Mina (can be tricky with silence). Some abilities are very easily countered due to telegraphed timings. Ex: Seven stun, Bebop bomb, Victor ult, etc. Learn how to predict the enemy to bait out certain abilities for free. Ex. Wraith, Grey Talon, Geist, Doorman, Mo+Krill, Rem ults, Bebop grab, etc. You can also (2) item ablilites like decay and slowing hex. ***YOU CAN NO LONGER RIPOSTE GUARDIAN AND WALKER DAMAGE OR ABILITIES THAT LEAVE BEHIND AOE DAMAGE***0 items

Itani Lo Sahn (4)

In lane, use (4) to secure kills by finishing low health targets. Mid-late game (4) is also useful as an initiation to a team fight. When enemies are hit with (4), there is a short period where they are massively slowed and cannot take any action. This buys your team time to position and pick off any enemy that has been hit. Be careful to not get interrupted while casting (4) as it will cancel the ult entirely and go on cd. You can hold the ult as long as you want to bait out Pocket satchel, Dynamo jump, etc. (4) can also be used as escape if needed.0 items

Slowing hex

If Apollo gets hit with slowing hex or any ability that disables movement abilities, he is basically useless. Disengaging Sigil (1) and Flawless Advance (3) are UNUSEABLbE when in this state. Slowing hex, Silver's bola, and Wraith ult will put Apollo in a wheelchair. Be careful and use dispel magic and Riposte (2) wisely. [FYI, Wraith's ult CANNOT be dispeled, do your best to predict her ult with your (2) or buy indom]0 items

Optional. Investing in gun allows you to deal decent damage when on cooldown or slowing hexed. Will also help w/ wave and camp clear. If the game goes long sell your gun items to free up slots.0 items
