Insect thinks it is damage because damage is the only language insect has ever been taught, and insect looks at the hotel and sees a number, and the number is not large, and insect relaxes. Insect should not relax. The hotel is a sentence. It is passed on a guest who cannot reach the elevator, and this Lord decides who cannot. Insect who chased through door has no stamina. Insect who took fist is slowed. Insect who took bell is slower. That insect is sent to the hotel, and that insect walks the hallway with legs that do not work, past rooms it will never see, and that insect does not check out, and the failure to check out returns the hotel to this Lord before the next guest has finished being afraid. Fifteen seconds. Insect may count them. This Lord chooses by legs, not by health. Full-health insect with no stamina is better guest than dying insect with three dashes, because the dying insect will make the elevator and the full one will not, and this Lord does not waste rooms on guests who leave. And while the hotel is occupied, this Lord cannot be stopped. Nothing insect owns can hold him. This is the only mercy this Lord's thin body allows him, and he does not spend it on damage. The hotel is saved for the moment when a room is being closed on this Lord, five insects turning at once, and then this Lord opens a different room, and one of them is inside it, and the other four are looking at a man who cannot be touched and has just remembered where his door is.0 items

收租 — This Lord collects. Every wave is a room that owes him. Every camp is a tenant behind on payment, and tenants behind on payment are visited, politely, once. The bell clears. The gun clears. This Lord walks the map like a man reviewing his properties, unhurried, noting which ones need attention and which ones have been attended to already by someone who did not have permission. This Lord has no legs of his own for travel. This is not weakness. Weakness is a word for things that were once strong. This is simply why doors exist. Door to jungle. Door back to lane. Door across the wall that insect must walk around, and by the time insect has finished walking around it the camp is empty, the box is broken, and the rent is in this Lord's pocket. This Lord is never far from anything, because this Lord is never actually walking. This Lord is deciding where to be next, and then being there, and the space between is not his concern. Sinner is denied, not needed. Insect wants sinner. Door is at sinner. This Lord is at sinner. Insect arrives to find the machine empty and a polite man leaving through a door that closes behind him before insect has finished being surprised. This Lord does not fight for farm. Fighting for farm is for the poor, and the poor are welcome to fight each other for it while this Lord takes the next room over, and the one after that. This Lord simply owns the map and visits each part of it on schedule. The schedule is his. Insect is not on it. Insect has never been on it. Insect is merely something that occasionally happens to be in a room this Lord was visiting anyway.0 items

放手 — Late game arrives and this Lord's hand comes off the board. Not because the hand has weakened. The hand has never been heavier. Because the pieces travel in groups now, and the wall is guarded, and the piece who chases through the door brings two friends through after it, and this Lord does not touch a piece while other pieces are watching. It is undignified. So the hand lowers, and this Lord returns to what a Lord does, which is move things without touching them. The bell rings with real weight now, and it rings with the gun's weight also. The cart still delivers, still pins, still stops. The hotel still collects, and collects faster, and the guests are heavier and still cannot make the elevator. Doors still open onto angles that do not exist, and the gun still speaks through them, loud, at the range where this Lord raises his voice. This Lord has not been demoted. This Lord has simply stopped touching the pieces himself, and is moving them from a distance, as a Lord should have been doing all along and was only not doing because it amused him. The fist remains, for the single piece that wanders alone. There is always one. This Lord is patient. This Lord has a chair, and a door, and time.0 items

備戰 — Build is decided before game, as all things worth deciding are decided before game. Queue is full from the first cheap hand to the last heavy shot. This Lord purchases and departs. This Lord does not read menus. Menus are for guests, and guests are for rooms, and this Lord has already seen the menu, it was written by lesser hands. Only counters are chosen in play, and insect chooses them by what insect brings to the table. Insect hooks, Counterspell, early, before insect has even shown the hook, because this Lord knows a hook when he sees a shoulder. Insect stuns, Indomitable, so insect may fail twice and learn once. Insect flies, Knockdown, because this Lord does not chase into sky; this Lord retrieves from it, and sets it down, and it does not get up. Insect bursts, Metal Skin, for the moment at wall when the whole room turns to look at the Doorman who is somehow next to them. Insect slows, Dispel Magic, because this Lord's only legs are doors, and a slowed Lord is a Lord who cannot reach his own door, and that is not permitted, that has never been permitted. This Lord looks at insect's team at loading screen and already knows which three go in the bowl, and which insect will be the first to learn why, and roughly when. Shop is done. Doors are placed.
