Playstyle and Early Laning (+ability breakdown)
I like to play Celeste as a sort of brawler that has the mobility to be able to pick and choose what fights she takes. Laning can go a few different ways for Celeste depending on how the enemy is playing, but generally my strategy is a very patient one, hiding and poking, getting damage in where possible and waiting for the enemy to get annoyed and make mistakes, or just get poked down so much I can go in for the kill. Try to get as much value out of your bullet bounces as you can!! Using the ground and wall bounces to get hits behind walls or aiming for minions that line up with the enemy to poke while wave clearing is important and it adds up! Your first major spike is going to be the 4.8k spirit spike with torment pulse, and this is around when you should start looking for fights more actively. Light Eater, your 1, is your main damage ability, as well as a good chunk of your survivability. You need to be hitting shots after you land the initial flare, thankfully this is pretty easy once you get used to how her gun works. Dazzling Trick, your 2, is usually saved for if you get jumped on, as the shield and silence when it breaks make for an excellent defensive tool. Once it's maxed however you can use it to enable your ult in 1v1s. Radiant Daggers, your 3, is used mostly to poke or for waveclear. If you anticipate a fight breaking out soon and you have hero targets nearby, try to get as many stacks of the damage amp as possible before the fight starts. When maxed it enables Light Eater even more by giving fire rate per stack. Finally her ult (that they keep buffing for some reason???) Shining Wonder, the ball. This thing HURTS, and slows them down to a crawl. The way it works is when the projectile makes contact with an enemy after you throw it, it will attach for a few seconds if there are no other enemies nearby, or it will start bouncing between enemies if there are. Minions (and the patrons!!) can also be hit with the initial projectile if you're not confident in aiming it yet, and in the case of minions, will count as enemies for the bounces.0 items
