OptionalOutside of basic hero mechanics you should be getting the majority of your souls from kills, boxes, sinners, and trophy collector. You can catch waves when needed but if you are spending a ton of time farming you are not playing to your hero's strengths and also stealing money from your carries. Use the vents under the map too! Also remember that the tier 2 cat upgrade gives you significant hp regen while in cat so use this to your advantage to stay on the map and farm boxes instead of going to base to heal. The tunnel system provides a ton of safe souls and also allow you to rotate quickly while still getting income. Some basic Calico mechanics are cancelling your gloom bombs animation with your slash, using actives like cold front and arctic blast as you channel your slash, sneaking in light melees with your slash (don't always do this or good players will parry you), and utilizing the vertical escape options you have with your slash and ult. Your gun is also strong early game, espeically after you hit your 4.8 orange spike so don't over commit to using only light melees because good players will punish with parries. Also remember to focus on getting solo and double kills when possible since the soul bounties from kills begin to rapidly drop off in value once you add 2 or more people to the assist.0 items
