What is an HMC and how do I do one?
HMC stands for Heavy Melee Cancel. HMC is a tech revolving around using certain active-items and abilities to cancel a heavy melee attack. To get an idea of what this looks like buy Fleetfoot and charge up a punch. Let go of the melee key as soon as a heavy melee has been channelled and any time during the swing activate Fleetfoot. If done correctly your character should instantly stop swinging and perform their active item animation, allowing you to instantly heavy melee again or perform other actions. Ivy can also perform an HMC using stone form, simply follow the steps above but replace Fleetfoot with Stone Form and you can replicate the same success.
